About us

On October 29, 1876 a group of  German-speaking Protestants formed an Evangelical Congregation in O'Fallon, Illinois.  For over 135 years, the O’Fallon United Church of Christ has been engaged in faithful worship, mission and witness in the  community.

We are a part of the United Church of Christ, a denomination formed in 1957 through the union of the Evangelical and Reformed Church (where our roots are) and the  Congregational Christian Churches (which include the Pilgrims of  Plymouth Plantation).

As a denomination, we emphasize the significance and freedom of the local congregation. We offer great diversity of beliefs while seeking unity within our fellowship. Our differences add to the richness and strength of our life together.
